The table below shows alloy composition by weight. The data shows either the maximum percentage of all listed elements (except aluminum) or the permitted range of various elements in an alloy.
Aluminum constitutes the remainder of all alloys except for 1100 type material, which is specified to be at least 99.00 percent aluminum regardless of impurities.
The two rows marked other and otherª show, respectively, the maximum of any other element and the maximum of all other elements. Only elements that constitute at least 0.010 percent of an alloy are counted in total elements.
Alloys used in welding rod have no more than 0.0008 percent beryllium. Alloy 7050 includes 0.08-0.15 percent zirconium among its other elements.
